New capabilities support Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SSO, expanding reach to millions of educators in Microsoft-first schools and districts

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Brisk Teaching, the leading AI-powered education platform for K-12, today announced a major product update that brings its suite of classroom tools to Microsoft-based environments. Starting this month, teachers can now use Brisk seamlessly with Word and PowerPoint files, log in with Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO), and save their work directly to OneDrive.

Originally built as a Chrome extension to meet the needs of educators working inside Google tools, Brisk has become the go-to AI assistant for teachers looking to save time on lesson planning, feedback, and differentiation. With this new integration, Brisk now fully supports Microsoft-first schools and districts – allowing even more educators to access AI-powered support directly within the tools they already use.

"This update has been a top request from teachers using Microsoft," said Arman Jaffer, founder and CEO of Brisk Teaching. "By integrating directly into the tools they use every day, we're helping more teachers reclaim time and better support their students without the stress of learning a new platform."

Key Features Designed for Microsoft Schools

The new Microsoft integration includes:

  • Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO): Educators can now log in to Brisk with their existing Microsoft credentials, simplifying onboarding and daily use at scale.
  • Edge Browser Compatibility: Microsoft educators will now be able to use Brisk directly in their Edge browsers as a Microsoft Edge Add-on.
  • Support for Word and PowerPoint Files: Teachers can use the Brisk extension with files in OneDrive to create quizzes, adjust reading levels, generate activities, and give feedback all within Brisk.
  • Export to Microsoft Formats: AI-generated content can be exported directly back to Word or PowerPoint, making it easy to share or store.
  • OneDrive Integration: Teachers can access their existing files from OneDrive, apply Brisk's AI tools, and save results back to the same platform.

Like all Brisk tools, the Microsoft integration is FERPA and COPPA compliant and built with district-level privacy and security in mind. SSO and OneDrive compatibility make it easy for school and district IT teams to deploy Brisk at scale.

All Microsoft features are available on both Brisk's Free and School & District plans. Brisk is available for installation directly from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store and the Chrome Web Store.
