A world of myth, woodland wonder, and ancient storytelling takes shape in “A Trilogy of The Great Forest Adventures” by children's author Trudi Carter, one of the featured titles at The Maple Staple's exhibit during the 2026 London Book Fair.
Visitors to Olympia London from March 10 – 12 will find her books displayed at Stand 6A100 on the Ground Floor, where the Toronto-based bookstore presents a curated selection of independent titles from authors around the world.
Carter's trilogy invites readers into the mysterious Great Forest, a place where mythological creatures and forest animals share daring journeys and whimsical encounters. Tales are told through letters and journals, diaries and rhymes passed down through generations. The stories reveal echoes of an ancient world - where dragons, frogs, and other woodland creatures - journey together. Their adventures blend forest mountains, and beach with the atmosphere of medieval folklore. Through these collected accounts, the trilogy uncovers long-forgotten stories and portraits that capture the magic and mystery of centuries past.
With many years of experience as an educator, Carter brings a deep understanding of how children engage with storytelling. Her thirty years in elementary education includes teaching accelerated learning students and a personalized tutoring business - all based on thinking skills. Inspired by her love of Nature, her stories draw upon the details of forests, mountains, and coastal landscapes. Weaving them into imaginative adventures, they encourage curiosity and creative thinking among young readers.
Readers attending the fair will have the opportunity to meet Trudi Carter during her book signing on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, where signed copies of “A Trilogy of The Great Forest Adventures” will be available – with her other books - free of charge during the session at The Maple Staple stand.
