A New Monthly Series at The Bar Supports Music Education for Underserved Youth Through MUSIC to the Ears Foundation
LOS ANGELES, June 25, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fairmont Century Plaza is proud to introduce "The Good Life," a new monthly afterwork soiree that unites the city's creatives, changemakers, and industry professionals over music, cocktails, and meaningful conversation for an important cause. The event is hosted on the last Friday of each month at The Bar, a legendary venue within Fairmont Century Plaza known for its storied musical history and contemporary elegance.
Each edition of The Good Life centers around "The Mixtape," a signature cocktail served in a record-sleeve-inspired menu that pays homage to classic vinyl culture. Available in two variations, Side A (alcoholic) and Side B (non-alcoholic), the drink is more than a nod to nostalgia. A portion of proceeds from each Mixtape supports MUSIC to the Ears Foundation, funding creative education programs for underrepresented youth throughout Los Angeles.
Founded by artist and producer SCETCH (The Specialist), MUSIC to the Ears Foundation works in partnership with Academix BEAT Lab to build career pathways in music, media, and entertainment for underserved students. "Partnering with Fairmont Century Plaza allows us to bring visibility and real support to creative youth development," says SCETCH, founder of MUSIC to the Ears Foundation. "Together, we are opening doors for the next generation of artists and innovators in Los Angeles."
Music for The Good Life is curated by SCETCH alongside guest DJs, delivering a sonic experience that reflects both the legacy and the evolution of The Bar, which has hosted legendary artists like Sonny and Cher, Elton John, and Mariah Carey.
